Cycling is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK in spite of the Lance Armstrong controversy. It is constantly in the news and the recent successes at the Tour de France and Olympics have led to a massive surge in interest for the sport from mountain-biking and bmx to track and road racing. The British teams are now regularly winning the yellow & rainbow jerseys and gold medals and cycling clubs have noticed a massive surge in membership.
I have always been a keen cyclist and it is great to see the incredible rise in popularity over the last few years. I am very much an amateur but my wife and son are taking the sport very seriously and have entered races and we are out on the Downs regularly.
I recently took photos at the Stanmer Park “Stilettos On Wheels” mountain bike race for girls and have also done photography for Paralympics GB at the Manchester Velodrome Paralympics World Cup where I concentrated on the wheelchair basketball and cycling events.
