Age UK – Spread The Warmth

Last year I worked with Age UK providing photography to promote the campaign “Spread The Warmth”. In addition to lifestyle portraits of older people who have benefitted through this campaign, I also took photos at The House Of Commons for Age UK & Age Action Alliance. The photos were of MP’s demonstrating support for the campaign and have been used to generate publicity and awareness.

This winter has been especially harsh with sub-zero temperatures and ice and snow causing treacherous conditions. The elderly are particularly vulnerable at this time of year and Age UK is raising awareness and tackling the issues which affect older people.

Age UK’s Spread the Warmth campaign is calling for action to reduce the numbers of older people who die preventably every winter. Through the campaign the charity is highlighting the role that MPs can play in ensuring that this issue is a health priority in this country. You can support the campaign by emailing your MP here.

Many thanks to Mary Milne and the Age UK team, Age Action Alliance and all participating MPs and campaigners.
