“The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) was established in April 2008 to promote quality in healthcare, and in particular to increase the impact that clinical audit has on healthcare quality improvement.
We are an independent organisation led by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, The Royal College of Nursing and National Voices.”
I have done a number of shoots for HQIP and in November I was photographer at their AGM. For more information about the important work they do, take a look at their website: www.hqip.org.uk
One of the main speakers at the AGM was Dame Donna Kinnair, Royal College of Nursing, Chief Executive. Donna Kinnair has been a spokesperson for nursing throughout the Covid-19 crisis. She has appeared on Newsnight and Question Time, been a voice of reason, asking questions, looking for answers and highlighting the struggles the NHS is facing. She has recently announced that she will be volunteering at the Nightingale Hospital in the Docklands. She will be joining doctors, nurses and allied health professionals at the temporary unit along with thousands of volunteers – making a total of around 16,000 staff.
The scientists, medical experts, advisors, NHS staff and healthcare workers all deserve our deepest thanks. In times of crisis we rely on them…
