In February I went to London Zoo with some of the young adults and support workers at Chailey Heritage. I work part-time at Chailey and also do photography for them. For privacy reasons, I can only show photos taken that day that do not feature young people and support workers, but I can share some of the photos of animals taken on the day…

I have mixed opinions about zoos. I don’t generally like the idea of them, animals should be able to live in the wild, but unfortunately this is not always possible. Most of the animals in London Zoo have been bred in captivity and many are protected species. My sister used to be a zoo keeper at London Zoo so I am aware of the great work that ZSL does for animal protection and conservation, and that should be supported. I love seeing the animals and a trip to the zoo is always an entertaining and educational day out.
I love doing shoots for Chailey. It is a fantastic place and I have been working there for three years as a part-time support worker. I also do photography for Chailey and recent shoots have included photos for the school, residential, futures and the life skills centre. To find out more about Chailey Heritage and to see some of the photos I have taken for them, take a look at their website: www.chf.org.uk
