I do a lot of portrait shoots, mostly families and children. Most of the portraits I do come off the back of other jobs. For example, I photograph a couple’s wedding and then a few years later they get me back to photograph the christening, and then as the family grows up I get called back to do more portraits.
I prefer doing portraits at the family’s home as you tend to get more natural shots and it is more convenient for the family and less daunting for the children.
I have portable lighting (studio lights and on-camera flash) to compensate for any lack of light. A two hour portrait session costs £150 for Sussex based shoots.
